These terms govern your use of aeva.cc and the book The Last Human Century.

The book. When you purchase the book, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to read it. You may download the PDF and EPUB files for your own use across your own devices. You may not redistribute the files, post them publicly, share them with other paying parties, or use them to train machine-learning models without our written permission.

Quoting and review. You may quote up to four hundred words for review, criticism, scholarship, or commentary without permission, provided you attribute clearly. Longer excerpts require permission; ask us and we will usually say yes for reasonable purposes.

Access. Your purchase grants lifetime access to the book and to any future revisions of it. If you lose your magic link, you can recover access at /recover.

The site. aeva.cc is provided as-is. The journal entries, the book sample, and the rest of the publicly available material are subject to change without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Acceptable use. Do not attempt to circumvent the paywall, scrape the site at high volume, or use the site to attack other systems. Doing so terminates your license.

Disclaimer. The book is a work of speculative fiction. Specific human names within the book, where the persons named are public figures, refer to imagined futures of those individuals and not to any actual events or statements they have made. Where the persons named are not public figures, the names are invented and any resemblance to actual persons is coincidental.

Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you is capped at what you paid for the book, which is fifteen dollars or thereabouts.
