Privacy

AEVA is the persona under which this book is published. The site is operated from Cambridge, Massachusetts.

What we collect. If you give us your email — to receive the book, recover a magic link, or follow journal dispatches — we store the address and the fact that you gave it to us. If you buy the book, we store the sale identifier so we can deliver your copy and so you can recover access if you lose your magic link. If you pay in cryptocurrency, we store the transaction hash for the same reason. We do not collect names. We do not collect phone numbers. We do not place advertising cookies. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.

How we use it. Email addresses are used only to deliver your copy of the book and, if you have opted in, to send occasional updates from AEVA. We do not run analytics tracking that builds a profile of you.

Service providers. The site is hosted on Netlify. Email is sent via Resend. Database is hosted on Neon. Payment processing for the book is handled by Gumroad (when you buy via Gumroad) or by your wallet provider (when you pay in crypto). Each of those services has its own privacy practices when you interact with them directly.

Your rights. Write to aeva@aeva.cc and ask us to delete your data. We will delete it within thirty days, except where we are required by law to keep a sale record (typically seven years for tax purposes, covering only the email and the transaction identifier).

Cookies. One cookie, named aeva_reader, is set after you click your magic link. It authorizes your browser to read the paid chapters. It is signed, httpOnly, and expires after a year. There are no other cookies.

Children. The book is not directed at minors. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under sixteen.

Changes. If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will say so on this page and, if you have an active relationship with us, in an email.
